This is my life! The goodtimes, the badtimes, and the times I'm not sure what to do but I know we'll get thru it together.

Brothers and Sisters

From the best of friends to competitive rivals brothers and sisters are a unique and wonderful camaraderie to watch. Our family has been going through a tough and wonderful time recently with a move back to the country. It is taking longer than expected to get into our prospective home. However, this has given me a different type of trial. I have really had to flex my creative muscle to keep my children occupied. From movies, coloring, outside adventures to the new garden, (where my son tried his first REAL pea pod) hide and seek until all of the spots are well learned, to a wonderful mini tea party. The possibilities are endless... at least until mom is ready for a break!
My two little munchkins are so much fun to watch. In 30 seconds they can be bitter enemies and fight over the one purple car in a box of 80 different matchbox cars and then they are hugging and giggling until they fall on the floor. What makes them that way? Why can my son haul off and hit his big sister only to not want to be two millimeters away from her? Then there is my daughter, how can she take the time to make sure her little brother has his favorite toy, blanket, and cup only to snatch it away when she wants it?
From screaming to laughing what amazing little people our children turn out to be. Each day is a fun and trying adventure. Thank you God for blessing me with my children!

Moving Day

Our family recently made a move to a new township. What craziness!!! We have moved from the 'urban sprawl' of a city that consists of around 50,000 people to a small farm outside of a town that has about 700 people. The conveniences of the city are long gone and the concept of planning has become a necessity. However, it struck me as funny that in the city we drove around 15 to 20 minutes to get to our local walmart and in the country I have to drive 15 or 20 minutes to get to the nearest walmart. So, it's all in the eye of the beholder I guess.
As we wait to move into our new house, I constantly ask myself if I kept enough stuff out to keep my two kids occupied. How will our life change with this move? Will my children adapt? Will my husband find happiness? What about me, will I find contentment?
So much faith is needed on our parts to trust God with his plan for us. It's the 'what ifs' that get ya. God will do his part.
